Is Telkom Metrofibre fibre available at my location?

How do I apply for Telkom Metrofibre fibre to the home (FTTH)?
To sign up for Metrofibre FTTH you need to follow these easy steps:

  1. Fill in your details on the quick online application from www.uncappedfibre.co.za/telkom/metrofibre
  2. Once we receive your quick form details, we will call you to confirm them and send you an application to sign electronically.
  3. Send us the signed application along with your supporting documentation.
  4. We will process the deal and schedule your fibre installation
What documentation is required for Telkom Metrofibre fibre?

Telkom requires the following supporting documentation:

  • Clear copy of ID (a certified copy is preferred*)
  • Proof of physical address (not older than 3 months)
  • Latest Telkom bill (only required if you are an existing Telkom client)
Can a third party make payments on my Metrofibre account?

Yes, you can. You will need to supply a copy of the ID of the person whose bank account will be used, as well as a signed letter (provided to you) giving you authority to use their bank account for the specified Telkom service payment.

How long does installation take for Telkom Metrofibre fibre?

Installations generally take 7–21 working days. Submitting complete documentation and ensuring no outstanding bills will help speed up the process.

Are there installation or setup fees for Metrofibre FTTH?

No. Installation is free with all Telkom Metrofibre fibre packages.

What contract terms apply to Metrofibre packages?

Month-to-month contracts with a 12-month minimum commitment. Early cancellation may result in charges for installation, activation, or promotional equipment.

Can I change my Metrofibre fibre package?

Yes. Upgrades may involve a small fee, downgrades within the contract term may incur penalties, and cancellations require at least one month’s notice.

Do you provide Wi-Fi solutions for Metrofibre fibre?

Yes. For large homes or premises, a cabled AP solution is recommended. We use Ubiquiti APs connected by Ethernet to the router, with cabling run to the area needing coverage. The AP is mounted on the ceiling similar to a light fitting. shop.dsltelecom.co.za
