Yes. You must provide the ID of the person whose bank account will pay for Vox Link Layer Fibre, along with a signed letter authorising you to use their account for the service.

How does billing work for Vox Link Layer Fibre?

Vox Link Layer Fibre subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Setup fees and top-ups are billed in arrears.

Example: If your invoice date is 1 March, your full package subscription for 01–31 March is billed. The first invoice may include a pro-rated amount from activation to the next billing cycle.

How long does a Vox Link Layer Fibre application take?

Applications typically take 7–21 working days. Submit your paperwork with correct documentation to avoid delays.

What supporting documentation is required for Vox Link Layer Fibre?

Vox requires the following documentation for a Vox Link Layer Fibre application:

  • Clear copy of ID (certified copy preferred)

  • Proof of physical address (not older than 3 months)

Vox will verify your ID with the Home Affairs database. If the ID is unclear, a certified copy will be requested.

What are the Vox Link Layer Fibre contract terms and cancellation policy?

Vox Link Layer Fibre is on a month-to-month contract with a minimum 12-month commitment. Cancelling within the first 12 months incurs a once-off penalty. After 12 months, cancellation requires 30 days’ notice with no penalty.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my Vox Link Layer Fibre package?

Yes. You may upgrade or downgrade your Vox Link Layer Fibre package anytime. Upgrades may include a small fee, and downgrades within the contract term may incur a penalty. Cancellations are subject to your agreed contract terms with Vox.

What hardware comes with Vox Link Layer packages?

Vox Link Layer Fibre packages include a high-end 4-port Wi-Fi router, allowing you to set up your own Wi-Fi hotspot at home or business.

When does number porting happen with Vox Link Layer Fibre?

Porting your old Telkom number usually occurs after Vox Link Layer Fibre installation. Vox provides a default 087 number.To port a number, submit:

  1. A copy of your latest Telkom bill

  2. Completed porting form

Porting takes 10–15 working days after documents are received.
